LEED Credits

LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. Established by the US Green Buildings Council (USGBC), it has gained widespread support in the commercial arena. LEED certification provides independent, third party verification that a building project meets the highest green building and performance measure. All certified projects receive a LEED plaque, which is nationally recognized symbol demonstrating that a building us environmentally responsible, profitable and a healthy place to live and work (www.usgbc.org).

Although an individual building product, such as ceramic and porcelain tile can not be LEED certified, it can help a finished building earn LEED credits.

Emser Tile has several ceramic and porcelain tile series that are designed with LEED certification in mind.
