Emser Donates to Doctors Without Borders

After recently donating to Doctors Without Borders, Emser received a heartfelt note of thanks back from the organization. We wanted to share what they had to say:

On behalf of our teams and the patients we serve, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to you and everyone at Emser for your recent $10,000 donation. We are so grateful to have you by our side as we work around the world to provide medical humanitarian aid.

In 2021, we treated victims of conflicts in Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Syria, and Yemen; responded to a massive earthquake in Haiti, floods in South Sudan, and a volcano eruption in the Democratic Republic of Congo; and fought outbreaks of measles and malaria across Africa. We continued our response to the global pandemic, treating patients and supporting local health systems during severe waves of COVID-19 in India, Brazil, Peru, and South Africa, to name a few. We also supported local efforts to vaccinate especially vulnerable people and pressed for more equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines and treatments. And as climate change increasingly affects the populations we serve, we launched the Climate Smart MSF initiative to reduce the organization’s own carbon footprint and develop innovations to decrease our dependence on fossil fuels.

In 2022, we remain as committed as ever to doing whatever it takes to deliver quality medical and humanitarian aid to the people who need it most. Thank you for your generosity and the positive impact that you are having on so many lives.

Lastly, I encourage you to check our 2021 Year in Pictures, a collection of outstanding 54 images chosen from among the estimated 8,000 taken last year in the 75 countries MSF works in. In these images, staff and professional photographers from around the world have captured just some of the stories of people and patients, and our work with them, bearing witness to an essential humanitarian need – access to medical care.

With gratitude and very best wishes for a happy and healthy 2022.
